Edith "Edie" K. Tomlinson, 64, of Mineral Wells, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 25, 2011.
She was director of Community Resources for Wirt and Jackson counties for 15 years. After retiring she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering at the American Red Cross, attending antique car shows, working in her flowerbed and participating in the local historical society.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Louise Sweeney; and her two brothers, Paul and Harvey Kiddy.
Surviving is her husband, William D. Tomlinson; her father, Joseph B. Kiddy; her sister, Jane Abbott; two children, William P. Tomlinson and Stephanie Jane Blair; and seven grandsons, Wesly McCune, Cody, Wyatt and Ethan Tomlinson and Remington, Isaac and Nathanael Blair.
There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday at Elizabeth Baptist Church. Family and friends may gather at the church beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday.
